Check out the websites, and start doing the reseach required to make a decision on which to join:

National Education and Knowledge Industry Association

Software Information Industry Association Education Division

Each group has a view on its place in k-12 education, and how the industry should be conceptualized and organized. Each is focused on a narrow set of issues of immediate interest to the members they have attracted so far. Each aspires to represent a much broader array of firms.
They share an overiding, if unrecognized interest, in Adequate Yearly Progress, Scientifically Based Research, and Title I Part A funding. Someday they may work together to advance their members common needs in these fundamental market making policy arenas.

They are all about advancing the industry, none will get far if they don't get bigger,  and they won't get bigger if the firms in the industry don't join.
The base dues are hardly a huge barrier to any firm with staff reading this posting. And with membership, you get a say in industry strategy - maybe even leading to joint action by the trade groups,  and someday consolidation.
